Geo. Miller Died In Calif.

Funeral Services Tuesday 11 A.M. At Bendorf Funeral Home

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock at the Bendorf Funeral Home for George N. Miller, 73 years of age, who died at Banning, Calif., Thursday.

The Rev. George Palleson of First Lutheran Church will officiate with interment in Blair Cemetery.

Mr. Miller was born in Jutland, Denmark in February 22, 1887. He came to Blair with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hans J. Miller, and an older sister, in 1889. He attended West School and was confirmed in First Lutheran Church in 1902 by the Rev. Harold Jensen. His father died in 1929 and his mother in 1940.

Mr. Miller married his wife, who survives him, in November, 1907, in Green River, Wyo., where he was employed as a fireman for the Union Pacific Railroad.

Mr. Miller worked as an automobile trimmer and furniture upholstering and repairing most of his life. The Millers moved to Blair in 1932 from Sioux Falls, S.D. and made their home here until recently, when they moved to California.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Sophia; four sons, Harvey of Tustin, Calif., Robert of Los Angeles, John of Anacortes, Wash., and Nathan of Long Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Marian Azevedo of Redondo Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Blackburn of Arlington and Mrs. Marie Coutts of Omaha; a brother, Lou P. Miller of Nelscott, Ore.; and five grandchildren.

Relatives Here To Attend George Miller’s Funeral

Mrs. George Miller of Banning, California, her daughter Mrs. Marian Azenedo of Redondo Beach, California and two sons Robert Miller of Los Angeles and John Miller of Ana Cortes, Washington came to Blair to attend the funeral services for Mr. George Miller. They are staying at the home of Mr. Miller’s sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Coutis of Omaha. They plan to return to their homes today (Thursday).

Note: Per Blair Cemetery listing, name was George N.; born 24 Feb 1887; died 1 December 1960; buried Blk 68 Lot 6 Grave 11.
