Mrs. Hazel Miller Services Wednesd’y

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Campbell Mortuary for Mrs. Hazel Miller, who died suddenly early Monday morning. Mrs. Miller had been a dental assistant to Dr. E. T. Jipp for the past nineteen years.

Mrs. Miller was born at Blair June 15, 1897 and was 66 years of age at the time of her death. She had lived in this area all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas T. Biffar.

Her death was sudden and was attributed to a heart attack. She had been in good health and had no previous indication of heart trouble. She died shortly after arising Monday morning and preparing to go to work, as usual.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, John Miller and also a daughter, Betty. She is survived by a son, John Miller, of Lincoln, who is an officer in the United States Air Corps.

Other survivors are a sister, two brothers and two grandsons. Mrs. Mary Peak, of Blair is her sister. The brothers are Frank and John Biffar, both of Blair.

Mrs. Miller has held several offices in the Order of Eastern Star, and was treasurer of the organization at the time of her death. She was also active in the affairs of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

The Rev. Dale Westadt conducted the service and Campbell Mortuary was in charge of interment in the Blair cemetery.

Pallbearers were: three nephews, Russell Peak, Stanley Peak, Loren Biffar, Frank Drbal, Les Reynolds and Larry Drbal.
