GEORGE W. DAWSON

George W. Dawson, aged 81 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E. N. Bradley, 502 East Third Street, Duluth, Minn., Sept. 19. Cerebo hemorrhage was the immediate cause of death, though he had been in very poor health for the past three years. About three years ago Mr. Dawson was taken ill at his home near Blair and, when he was well enough to travel, Mrs. Bradley took him to Duluth in the belief that he would improve faster, and more completely recover his health there, but he has been so poorly ever since that it was at no time considered that he was strong enough to stand the journey back to his home. The remains were brought to Blair for interment. Services were held at the residence of his nephew, Mr. J. B. Adams, Monday afternoon at 1:30, Rev. Burkhardt of the Congregational Church officiating. The pallbearers were A. P. Howes, Chas. Selleck, Fred Kenny, Dr. W. H. Palmer, H. H. Reed and Phil Gossard.

He was in very poor health and his daughter, Mrs. Bradley, thought he might recover a little more rapidly if taken to her home in Duluth, Minn. He did improve some, but was never able to return home owing to his advanced years. A son, Irwell and wife of Madison, Neb., and a daughter, Mrs. Frank Gossard, and two sons of Fremont were also here to attend the funeral.
