BLANCHE BIFFAR SERVICES ARE SET FOR THURSDAY

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, December 29, at Campbell Funeral Home for Blanche M. “Biffar” Day, 83, who died at Community Hospital in Torrington, Wyoming, December 19, 1983.

The Rev. Carl F. Schattauer, Jr., will officiate. Burial will be in Blair Cemetery.

Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, in the Church of Christ in Torrington.

Blanche M. “Biffar” Day was born March 12, 1900, in Blair to Oliver and Olive McKinney Hudelsen. She attended school in Blair.

She married Clyde Biffar March 15, 1919 in Blair. They moved to a farm west of Lingle, Wyoming, in 1920. He died in 1930.

She moved to Kirk, Nebraska, where she lived for eight years before returning to a farm near Lingle, Wyoming. She married James Day December 8, 1940, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He died in 1967.

She returned to Torrington in 1967.

She was a member of the Church of Christ; Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary; American Legion Auxiliary; and the Senior Friendship Center.

She is survived by two sons, James Biffar, Torrington, Wyoming; and Donald Biffar, LaPuento, California; and two step sons, Floyd Day, Napa, California; and Lawrence Day, Othello, Washington. Four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. T. A. (Mable) Bohs, Blair, also survive her.

Pallbearers will be Ernest Bohs, Milo Christensen, Ed Schroeder and Joe Taylor. Clare Cowing will provide the music for the services.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
