WALTER DEAN DIED FRIDAY

FUNERAL SERVICES TO BE HELD TUESDAY AT LYONS, NEBRASKA

Funeral services for Walter H. Dean, 52 years of age, who died Friday at Memorial Community Hospital will be held Tuesday at Lyons, Nebr.

The services will be held at the Lyons Methodist Church at 2 p.m., the Rev. Dale Westadt and Rev. Hess officiating with interment in Lyons Cemetery.

Mr. Dean was born Oct. 3, 1911 at Brunswick, Nebr. He was named Chief of Police in Blair in August of 1962. Mr. Dean was a former Lyons business man and Burt County law-enforcement official. He has been ill for several months.

Mr. Dean is survived by his wife, Mrs. Darlene Dean; sons, Donald of Lincoln and Dennis of Blair; daughter Mrs. James Grasmick (Carolyn) of Omaha; one grandson; sisters, Mrs. Wm. Allemang of Clearwater, Mrs. Ervin Sedivy of Brunswick, Mrs. Lloyd Rouse of Sumner, Wash., Mrs. Ruby Hansen of Arvada, Colo., and Mrs. Gerald Miller of Elgin; a brother, Harold Dean of Arvada; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Dean of Brunswick, Nebr.

Members of the Blair Police Force will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Campbell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
