BABY DEARDORFF DEAD

Catherine Rowena Deardorff, infant child of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Deardorff of this city, died at the family home Sunday afternoon of stomach trouble, after a short illness.

Just nine months that day, she had come to bless the happy home of this family, and her cute, cunning little manners were just filling their fond hearts when the reaper gathered the little bud for the great bouquet of little ones which are awaiting loved ones here.

The friends and neighbors did all they could to lighten the load of sorrow, but such grief as is felt in the home when “baby” goes is not easily softened. The funeral was held from the home on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Lewis speaking words of comfort to the bereaved ones. A quartet composed of Misses Ethel and Gertrude Mead, Mrs. W. H. Myers and Maude Dixon sang appropriate selections. The tiny casket was carried by four little girls, Elizabeth Mead, Helen Rohwer, Helen Wright and Pauline Lippincott, and the little form was laid to rest in the Blair cemetery. The sympathy of many friends is extended.
