JOHN DEAVER ANSWERS CALL

John H. Deaver passed away last Saturday morning at 3 o’clock, the result of a stroke which occurred the previous Thursday morning. He had suffered a stroke five years ago from which he never fully recovered and the second stroke was more than he could stand.

Deceased was born in Peoria, Indiana on May 10, 1868 and when five years of age the family came to Washington county where the father bought the land on which he raised his family and one which the deceased has since resided. He never married.

He leaves three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Iversen of Blair; Mrs. James Davis of Kearney; Mrs. Mattie Sifford of Lodi, California; and one brother, Nate Deaver of Gillette, Wyoming.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Campbell Mortuary and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
