#1- Pilot-Tribune 18 Nov 1943 RITES HELD FOR GUS FRAHM, 39

Funeral rites for Gus Frahm, 39, who died Nov. 11 at University hospital in Omaha following an illness of several weeks’ duration, were held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Herman Methodist Church. The Rev. A.W. Clarke of Arlington, former Herman pastor, officiated.

Born near Ft. Calhoun June 28, 1904, Mr. Frahm had lived in Washington county nearly all his life. At the time of his illness, the family was residing at Elkhorn, Nebr.

Surviving Mr. Frahm are his aged father, August Frahm, of Ft. Calhoun; three sisters, Mrs. Hans Rathjen of Ft. Calhoun, Mrs. Clarence Young and Mrs. Lawrence Weber of Benson; six brothers, Hans and Ferdinand of Herman, Chris of Irvington, Rudolph of Blair, Otto of Centralia, Wash., and Edgar of Ft. Calhoun.

#2-18 Nov., 1943 - The Enterprise GUS FRAHM RITES MONDAY

Gus Frahm, a native of this county, passed away on November 11 in an Omaha Hospital following an operation from which he never regained consciousness. He was born near Fort Calhoun on June 28, 1904, and grew to manhood and received his education there. He was married to Dagmar Jensen of Herman on December 21, 1933, and for three years they farmed near Elkhorn and then moved to the Bill Raver farm northwest of Blair where they lived for five years.

To Mr. and Mrs. Frahm two children are born, a son of 8 years and a daughter, six years old. Besides the bereaved widow and these children, he leaves six brothers: Chris and Edgar of Calhoun; Hans and Fred of Herman; Rudolph of Blair and Otto of Centralia, Washington; and sisters, Mrs. Clarence Young and Mrs. Edward Weber of Omaha and Mrs. Hans Rathjen of Calhoun.

Funeral rites were held last Monday at the Methodist church in Herman with Rev. A. W. Clarke officiating, and interment was made in the Herman cemetery.
