MAXINE FORD DECKARD, 60

Services for Maxine Ford Deckard, 60 who died June 8, 1991 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 at Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah. Burial will be in the Tekamah Cemetery.

There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 11 at Hamel & Peck Funeral home.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; six children, Debbie McKain, Wayne; Vicki and Terry Nelson, all of Blair; Tom, Ken, Ron and Gina, all of Omaha; and eight grandchildren.

MILDRED MAXINE DECKARD, 60

Services were Wednesday, June 12 at Hamel & Peck Funeral Home for Mildred Maxine Deckard, 60 of Blair and formerly of Tekamah who died June 8, 1991 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. Rev. Charles A. Bailey officiated. Burial was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Mildred Maxine Deckard was born February 13, 1931 in Tekamah, Nebraska to Walter and Hazel Miller Ford. She attended country school in Burt County, Tekamah High School and graduated from Decatur High School.

She worked for Mutual of Omaha in Omaha after graduation.

She married Kenneth Deckard March 3, 1950 in Dakota City, Nebraska. After their marriage they lived near Lyons and in 1953 moved northwest of Tekamah. In 1962, they moved to Blair.

She was a member of the Memorial Community Hospital Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Florence Klinger.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Blair; daughters, Debbie McKain and Terry Nelson, both of Blair; sons, Tom and Ken, both of Omaha; sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Gina of Omaha and Wayne and Vicki of Blair; sisters, Luella McBride of Tekamah; Blanche Ford of Fremont; Marion Saltzman of Slaine, Kansas; Dorothea Brennen of Fremont; and Virginia Huffman of Decatur; a brother, Walter Ford of Colon, Nebraska and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Max Harris, Rod Brotsky, Walter McIntosh, Dale Matson, Greg Webster and Steve Webster.

Pearl Anderson was organist. Barry Beard was soloist.

Hamel & Peck Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
