FORMER BLAIR MUSIC INSTRUCTOR DIES MARCH 25th

Kenneth DeGroff, Blair High School band instructor from 1928 until 1932, died March 25th according to information received by the Blair Newspaper this week. He was 77 years of age.

He was born in LeRoy, Minnesota in 1901 and grew up in the Minneapolis area. He supervised public school music and directed church choirs for many years in South Dakota and Nebraska.

He left the music profession some years ago and devoted his time to pharmaceuticals and photography. He followed these careers professionally for 30 years.

Since 1972 he and his wife have devoted most of their time to travel trailering across the United States.

He is survived by two children, David of Omaha and Molly of Roanoke, Virginia. His first wife, to whom he was married when they were in Blair, preceded him in death. He is survived by his second wife whom he married in 1950.
