Funeral services for Larry T. Dein, age 68 of rural Blair, who died at Methodist Hospital in Omaha February 24, 1990 will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with Rev. James McBride officiating. The Ft. Calhoun American Legion Post No. 348 will conduct graveside military rites in the Allen Cemetery.

Larry T. Dein was born on March 22, 1921 at Irvington, Nebraska to George and Margaret Anderson Dein. He attended the District No. 32 Elementary School and North High School. He entered the service in 1942 and served in the Army during World War II, serving in Europe. He was discharged in 1945.

He married Winnifred Claire Sachs on September 12, 1943 at Omaha, Nebraska.

Larry worked for the Koley Metal Plating Company after his discharge from the service and also started farming in the Omaha and Blair area. In September of 1952, he was diagnosed with polio and was incapacitated since that time.

He was a member of the Ft. Calhoun American Legion and VFW.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Larry is survived by his wife, Winnifred; two sons and daughters-in –law, Tom and Lois Dein and Jim and Denise Dein; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda and Randy Truhlsen and Pat and Sam Wright, all of Blair. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Kolby, Jeremy, Joshua Dein; Waylon and Bree Wright; Jack Dein; one step-granddaughter, Katie Truhlsen; one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Catherine Dein, Omaha; and Joy and Merle Krehmeyer, Neilsville, Wisconsin; nieces, nephews, numerous relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Tage Christensen, Myron Sorensen, Jim Foley, Jerry Kruse, Mike Wilcox and Jim Skow.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
