Wanda J. Miller, 61

Wanda J. Miller, 61, of Blair, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 21, at the First United Methodist Church in Blair

. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha.

Wanda Joyce Miller was born April 11, 1941, in Morrowville, Kan., to Gilbert and Eleanor (Walters) Heck. After graduating from high school in 1959, she attended business college. She worked at Hesteds 5 & 10 in Fairbury. The store was sold to Ben Franklin in Omaha, where she soon transferred.

On Oct. 31, 1962, she married Arthur D. Miller in Omaha.

After moving to Blair, Mrs. Miller worked at McDonald’s and in the dietary department at Crowell Memorial Home.

She loved to garden, read and spend time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gregg and Carie Miller of Round Rock, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Steve Grimit of St. Cloud, Minn.; four grandchildren; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Willis and Jan Heck of Newton, Kan. Marvin and LaDonna Heck of Washington, Kan., Gilbert K. and Rosie Heck of Fontana, Calif.; Dennis Heck of Alliance, and sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Floyd Rogge of Washington, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur, and a brother, Jimmy.

Memorials are suggested to Crowell Memorial Home.
