William L. ‘Bud’ Miller, 86

William L. “Bud” Miller, 86, of Charleston, S.C., a Blair native, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1998, at the Veterans Hospital in Charleston.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27, at the Blair Cemetery.

William L. Miller was born Feb. 26, 1912, in Blair to William Henry and Rose (Lewis) Miller.

He worked as a commercial fisherman, riverboat pilot and farmer.

He served his country during World War II and was called back into the service during the Korean War.

He was a 50-year member of the Fort Calhoun American Legion Post 348 and a life member of the Blair V.F.W. Post 1251.

He was survived by a nephew, Marion A. Miller, Jr., of Charleston, S.C.; and a niece Judith Ann Miller of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Marion Miller, Sr.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair was in charge of arrangements.
