ERNEST DEMING, 78, DIES LATE TUESDAY
Ernest Leroy Deming, 78-year-old Blair man, died late Tuesday at Memorial Community Hospital. His death followed surgery Tuesday.
Mr. Deming was born at Grinnell, Iowa, October 17, 1885. He came to Blair twenty-nine years ago in 1935 and was engaged in farming.
Currently he and Mrs. Deming have been living on the former Nearhood place a mile south of Blair on Highway 30.
Mr. and Mrs. Deming were married 43 years ago in Omaha and to this union two daughters were born. Both daughters and Mrs. Deming survive. The daughters are Mrs. Gerald Fredericks (Betty) of Lincoln, and Mrs. William Braun (Ardice) of Omaha. There are five grandchildren.
A sister, Mrs. William VanRue, lives at Billings, Montana, and a brother, Donald Deming lives at Mount Vernon, Missouri.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 5th, at the Bendorf Funeral Home. The Rev. Dale Westadt will conduct the services and burial will be in the Blair cemetery.
