Mrs. Isaac Dennis died last Wednesday from a cancer on the right breast, after an illness of about six months. The funeral was held Friday afternoon, Rev. J. W. Cabeen officiating. Besides her husband, she leaves one daughter, Mrs. Perry Weaver of Boone, Ia., and two sons, Bruce and Otis, who live at home.

DEATH OF MRS. DENNIS

Thursday morning, June 29, at 5 o’clock in this city after an illness from cancer of more than a year, and during that time she gradually grew weaker day by day until death relieved her suffering.

Alice L. Hawley was born at Hawesville, Ky., September 17, 1860, and at the age of 5 years came with her aunt to the state of Nebraska, settling on a homestead five miles north of this city. On July 4, 1885, she was united in marriage to Isaac Dennis and to them six children were born, three of whom are still living and are Leona E. Weaver of Boone, Iowa, and Bruce H. and Otis C., of this city.

The funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Mr. Cabeen, pastor of the Baptist church, of which denomination deceased had been a member nearly all her life. The body was buried at Blair cemetery.
