FORMER ARLINGTON RESIDENT KILLED

Word has been received in Arlington of the death of a former resident, Mrs. Ella Johanna Reynolds Dennis, 45, who died in a Fort Morgan, Colorado, hospital following an automobile accident. With her husband, her daughter, Lillian, and her sister, Mrs. Susie Brown, the former countian was riding with a car salesman who was demonstrating a new auto. They crashed into another vehicle.

Mrs. Dennis received a brain injury; Mrs. Brown a broken arm; and Mr. Dennis and the salesman severe cuts and bruises.

Mrs. Dennis was born near Arlington November 12, 1890, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Reynolds. With her parents, she moved to Colorado in 1913 and was married to V. C. Dennis at Fort Morgan in 1917.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Dennis is survived by her daughter, Lillian; a son by a former marriage, Clinton Wolfe; her mother, Mrs. F. A. Reynolds; one sister, Mrs. Susie Brown of Anaheim, California; and three brothers, Frank Reynolds of Fort Morgan; Edgar of Aurora, Colorado; and Chase Reynolds of Adena, Colorado.

FORMER ARLINGTON WOMAN KILLED

Word reached old friends in Arlington several days ago of the death of a former resident, Ella Johanna Reynolds Dennis, who died in a hospital at Fort Morgan, Colorado on August 8th following an automobile accident in which she was injured.

The fatal accident occurred when Mrs. Dennis, her husband, her daughter, Lillian, and her sister, Mrs. Susie Brown, accompanied a car salesman for a ride in a new car he was demonstrating, and which Mr. Dennis planned to buy.

All of the group had taken turns in driving the new car, and when Mrs. Brown was at the wheel it struck gravel, she lost control and the big car went into the ditch.

Mrs. Dennis received injuries to her head which crushed her brain, Mrs. Brown a broken arm, and Mr. Dennis severe cuts on the head. The salesman also received severe injuries which will confine him to the hospital for months and the daughter, Lillian, escaped with only slight injuries.

The deceased was born near Arlington on November 12, 1890, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs F. A. Reynolds. With her parents she moved to Colorado in 1913, and in 1917 she was married to V. C. Dennis at Fort Morgan, and to this union was born one daughter, Lillian. Funeral services were held the following Monday afternoon with the Rev. R. L. Lowden of the First Christian church officiating, and burial was made in the Riverview cemetery at Ft. Morgan.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Dennis is survived by her daughter, Lillian, a son by a former marriage, Clinton Wolfe, her mother, Mrs. F. A. Reynolds, one sister, Mrs. Susie Brown of Anaheim, Calif., and three brothers, Frank Reynolds of Ft. Morgan, Edgar Reynolds of Aurora, Colo, and Chase Reynolds of Adena, Colo.
