Robert Nath, 61

Services for Robert L. Nath, 61 of Orum, Nebraska who died August 31, 1994 at his home of cancer were Saturday, September 3 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Alex Bauman of Karen St. Baptist Church in Omaha and Rev. Fred Richart of Maplewood United Methodist Church in Omaha officiated. Military graveside services were conducted at the Orum Cemetery by members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8332 and American Legion Post No. 71.

Robert L. Nath was born November 14, 1932 at Omaha. He grew up at Omaha and graduated from South High School.

He served in the United States Navy for two year during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Japan. He was a police officer in Omaha from 1958-1965. He then worked for Knott Forklift Co. and Twin City Neon Signs. After a move to Arlington, he worked at Valmont Industries at Valley for 18 years. He retired in 1994.

He moved south of Arlington in 1965. In 1985, he moved to Orum.

He was Scout Master for 17 years at Arlington. He was a member of Vigil Honor Order of the Arrow and received the Silver Beaver Award. He was certified to conduct training sessions for Scouting, was a charter life member of the American Motorcyclist Association and a member of the Harley Owners Group.

He married Kay Vitek at Fremont June 28, 1986.

He was preceded in death by his father, Emil Nath.

He is survived by his wife, Kay; a son, Robert Nath, Jr., of Arlington; three step-sons, Randy Menzel of Miami, Florida and Monte Menzel of Omaha and Waylon Brickey of Blair; daughters, Terri Nath of Denver, Colorado and Susan Nail of Aurora, Colorado; step-daughters, Melissia (Mrs. Craig) Nikolaus of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Amy Brickey of Omaha; his mother, Mary Nath of Millard; a brother, Ed Nath of Waterloo; sisters, Janice (Mrs. Alex) Bauman of Millard, Betty (Mrs. Marvin) Vincent of Arlington and Sharon (Mrs. Dayton) Laymon of Lincoln and 12 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Mickey Dunbar, Joe Bauersacks, Delbert Cole, Mike Livermore, Glen Hudson, Bill Peterson, John Peterson and Gordon Husk.

Honorary pallbearers were Waylon Brickey, Monte Menzel, Ralph Goetsch, Scott Stork, Kent Long and Charlie Horwath.

Providing vocal music were Joyce Schroeder and Waylon Brickey.
