Ed Natter, 90, Died At Crowell Home Sunday

Edward J. Natter, a longtime resident of the McCarthy School District passed away at the Community Memorial Hospital on March 12, 1972.

He was born on the Natter homestead west of the pioneer town of DeSoto, Washington County, July 1, 1881. Therefore he was 90 years, 9 months and 12 days of age at his death.

His wife, Mable preceded him in death on June 29, 1956. There were no children born to the union. He is survived by a number of cousins.

Mr. Natter was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge of Blair. He had received the 50 year pin and the Jordan Medal for being the oldest member of the Blair Masonic Lodge.

For the past fifteen years he made his home at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

A quiet, unassuming, gentile individual, he accumulated many friends who held him in high respect.

Graveside services were held at the Blair cemetery under the auspices of the Blair Masonic Lodge. The Rev. Guy McClure, Superintendent of Crowell Home, conducted the service.

Pallbearers at the service were J. Marion Stricklett, Ross Love, Arnold Rosterman, Martin Kuhr Jr., Bill Booton and Emmett Rounds.
