Miss Grace Neale Buried July 20th

Miss Grace E. Neale, 79, passed away at the Immanuel Hospital in Omaha on July 17th. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Presbyterian Church in Ft. Calhoun. The Rev. Don Killin of Tarkio, Missouri, officiated.

Miss Neale was born July 25, 1884, to Mr. and Mrs. David Neale near Ft. Calhoun. She has been an active worker in the Ft. Calhoun Presbyterian Church all her life. She served on the Church board for 38 years and worked in the Sunday School for almost sixty years. She was a charter member and served on the board of the Washington County Historical Society, and the Ft. Atkinson Association, and was also a charter member of the Ft. Calhoun Women’s Club. She served on the Cemetery Board from 1909 until 1964.

Survivors are a brother, George Neale of Ft. Calhoun, two sisters, Bertha of Omaha and Edith of Ft. Calhoun; 2 nieces, Mrs. Denning McArthur of Ventura, Calif., and Mrs. Vaughn Shaner of North Hollywood.

Pallbearers were: Ed Geesaman, George Rohwer, Waldo Kruse, Wm. H. Schmidt, Harold Swanson and Steve Slader.

The Sievers Mortuary was in charge and burial was in the Ft. Calhoun Cemetery.
