| Carrie J. Abele, 78, of Blair died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Interment will be 2 p.m. Friday in the South Oak Grove Cemetery in Stuart, Iowa.
Carrie June Abele was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Stuart, Iowa, to John and Mary (Blankenbecker) Crew. She graduated from Stuart High School, and lived in Omaha from 1942 until 1997, when she moved to Blair.
She worked as a dispatcher for Safeway Cab Company in Omaha for more than 35 years.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Dixie and Kent Thomas of Blair, Linda Sloan of Wayne, Mich., and Sue O'Brien of Loveland, Iowa; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Caukins of Stuart, Iowa, and brother, John Crew of Miami.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Orville Crew.
Memorials are suggested to the Blair Rescue Squad.
