Charles Misfeldt, 76, Died Saturday

Charles Misfeldt, Blair resident for a number of years, died at his home at 2064 Lincoln streets last Saturday, October 29th. He was 76 years old.

Mr. Misfeldt was born April 30th, 1890 at Bennington. He grew to manhood in the area and spent most of his active adult life as a farmer in the Kennard and Washington areas. He retired a number of years ago and moved to Blair where he has lived at 20th and Lincoln streets.

He is survived by his wife, Helena and by 3 sons and five daughters. The sons are Norman and Melvin, of Arlington and Ivan of Blair.

The daughters are: Mrs. Ed Grenier (Marjory) of Casper, Wyoming; Mrs. Henry McCandless (Henrietta) of Omaha; Mrs. William Byers (Alice) of Kennard; Mrs. Irvin Quick (Jenene) of Millard and Mrs. John Jessen, Jr., (Mary Lou) of Blair. There are 26 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Three brothers also survive. They are George of the Washington village area in the south part of this county; Harold of Kennard and Howard Misfeldt of Billings, Montana.

There are three sisters: Mrs. Ellen Richter, of Lomita, California; Miss Helen Misfeldt, of Long Beach, California and Mrs. Richard Andrews, of Omaha.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Kennard Methodist church with the Rev. Elvin H. Bratton in charge. Burial, under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home, was made in the Prairie View Cemetery in the south part of the county.

Military services were held at the cemetery, Mr. Misfeldt being a World War I veteran.

Pallbearers were Ray Andersen, Alvin Andersen, Daryl Miller, Harlan Gottsch, Wilfred Gottsch and Walter Winterburn.
