Mary Ann Sick To Be Buried On Tuesday

Funeral services are Tuesday, January 5, at 10 a.m. at Bader Rozanek Funeral Chapel in Fremont for Mary Ann Sick, 89, of Fremont, who died in Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont on January 3, 1982, after an illness of seven weeks.

Dr. J.W. Berry is conducting the services. Burial is in Salem Lutheran Cemetery at Fontanelle.

Mary Ann Sick was born at Fontanelle on September 11, 1892, to Rev. Christian and Mary Sprick Sick, where her father was pastor of the Lutheran Church there. She graduated from school in Sterling, Nebraska.

She was a graduate of Peru Normal College and Midland Lutheran College. She was a master teacher and taught elementary school for 41 years, retiring in 1959.

She had lived in Fremont since 1920. Prior to that she had lived in Sterling.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont and the Fremont Business and Professional Woman. She was a member of Arbor Vitae Chapter No. 92 Order of the Eastern Star and had received her 50 year pin as a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by one brother, Alfred O. Sick of Blair, two nephews, Gordon Sick and Tom Sick, both of Blair; one niece; six grandnephews, and one grand-niece.

Pallbearers are Bill Steavenson, Fred D. Hagerbaumer, Alfred Sick, Jr., and William H. Sick.

Mrs. John Katz will provide the organ and vocal music for the services.

Memorials may be made to either the Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont or the Salem Lutheran Church in Fontanelle.

Bader-Rozanek Funeral Chapel in Fremont has charge of arrangements for the services.
