Mrs. Tony Sidebottom Dies At Age of 94

Mrs. Tony (Mary Ellen) Sidebottom passed away at the Blair Community Hospital on July 24, where she had been confined for the past six weeks.

Mary Ellen Leonard was born at California Junction, Iowa on August 26th, 1871, and was almost 95 years of age at the time of her death. She was married to Wm. Olson and lived near Herman until his death in 1940.

On September 15, 1941 she married Tony Sidebottom at Herman. They moved to Blair in 1944 and have resided at 1948 Park Street since then.

Besides her husband she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Lora Eckland and Miss Emma Leonard and a brother, Jess Leonard all of Omaha.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 A.M. at the Campbell Mortuary. The Rev. E.T. Hirsh of Wakeeney, Kansas, a friend, and Rev. Geo. Palleson officiated. Burial was in the Blair cemetery.

Pallbearers were Russell Leonard, Tom Leonard, Frank Reyzlik, Jim Pounds, Jr. Ronnie Newell and Jack Mullally.

Mrs. Lois Carlson was organist and Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Goll were soloists.
