Another Old Settler Gone

Mrs. Christopher Siebuhr died at the home of her daughter last Monday of old age. Johanna Christina Maria Peters was born Aug. 22, 1826, at Hulthisen, Mecklenburg, Germany. In 1858 she came to America and settled in Wisconsin near Watertown. While there she married Christopher Siebuhr. In 1865 they came to Washington county and settled on a farm where her husband died seven years ago. Seven children were born to this union, only two of whom are living, Mrs. Peter Obermiller and Mrs. Henry Boehling. Besides these two daughters she leaves thirty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren to mourn her loss. She lived in this county 46 years always being an active member of the German Lutheran church.
