Funeral services for Harold Misfeldt, 77, who died May 8, 1986, at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital, were held Saturday, May 10, at Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard. Rev. Debra Tompsett officiated and burial was in the Kennard Cemetery.

Misfeldt was born April 7, 1909, the son of Henry and Maggie Misfeldt of Washington. He attended Mattes School.

He married Irma Jeppesen on June 2, 1934, in Omaha. The couple lived in Washington for nine years while Misfeldt was a truck driver.

In 1944 he and his wife moved to a farm north west of Kennard, where they lived until his death.

He retired from farming in 1974 and in 1980 he suffered the first of two strokes. On April 2, 1986, he suffered another stroke before his death.

Survivors include his wife, Irma, of Kennard; two brothers, George of Fremont and Howard of Billings, Montana; and three sisters, Ellen Richter of Lomita, California, Helen Misfeldt of Long Beach, California, and Mrs. Richard (Mae) Andrews of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Dale and Henrietta.

Pallbearers were Jack Lorsch, John Lorsch, George Lund, Howard Christensen, Henry Kroeger and LeRoy McCann.

Organist was Sheri Matzen and vocalist was Melvin Misfeldt.

Campbell Funeral Home of Blair was in charge of arrangements.
