#1 Irma Misfeldt, 83

Funeral services for Irma Misfeldt will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at the Kennard Methodist Church with burial in the Kennard Cemetery.

Irma Jeppesen Misfeldt, 83, died at her farm home northwest of Kennard on May 28, 1989, the same farm home where she was born on January 19, 1906. She attended Kennard School, graduating in 1924. She also attended Midland College, Omaha University and the University of Colorado. She taught school for ten years at Brewster, Washington, and Underwood (near Peony Park) schools.

Irma married Harold Misfeldt on June 2, 1934. They celebrated their Golden Anniversary in 1984. Harold preceded her in death on May 8, 1986.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Kennard. After she was married she became a member of the Kennard Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women for 40 years. They lived in Washington, Nebraska for nine years before moving to the family farm northwest of Kennard in 1944.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Leslie French, Arlington, a brother Milo Jeppesen of Blair; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; mother Mrs. Anna Rosenbaum Jorgensen; father, Andrew Jeppesen; step father, Hans Jorgensen; a brother, James; and a sister, Opal.
