Evelyn Lyons, 81, of Omaha died Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Evelyn Lyons was born Nov. 26, 1928, in rural Adel, Iowa, to Thomas Niles Brown and Bertha Evelyn Glenn. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She always enjoyed attending countless events that her children and grandchildren participated in over the years. She also loved spending time at any lake that she could get to, dancing and the casinos.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Dave Itschner of Omaha, Brenda and Dale Andersen of Blair, and Robert and Kendall Lyons of Omaha; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas E. and Joann Brown of Rippey, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Olsen, and husband Ordell "O.W." Itschner.
