FELIX TAMISIEA DIES AT AGE OF 89

Felix Francis Tamisiea, of 269 S. 23rd Street in Blair, died on Sunday, January 13, 1980, at the Blair Memorial Hospital. Mr. Tamisiea was 89 at the time of his death.

Felix Franics Tamisiea was born in Missouri Valley, Iowa on December 17, 1890. He was married to the former Vera Hutchison on September 2, 1914 in Missouri Valley, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Missouri Valley area for many years.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, in the St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Father Daniel Galas will officiate with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements and burial in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Missouri Valley, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Vera, of Blair; two daughters, one son, eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The children are: Mrs. Donald (Esther) Searl of Omaha; Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Pelsue of Tempe, Arizona; and Donald J. Tamisiea of Missouri Valley, Iowa.

Surviving brothers and sisters are: Mrs. Earl (Edna) Smith, Mo. Valley; Mrs. Fred (Clara) Sorensen, Omaha; Mrs. Otto (Fran) Thompson, Logan, Iowa; Edward Tamisiea, Omaha; Clement Tamisiea, Council Bluffs, Iowa; and Charles Tamisiea, Council Bluffs, Iowa.
