MRS. ANNA M. TAYLOR GONE

Death has again entered our midst and this time has claimed one of the oldest settlers on the townsite. Mrs. Anna M. Taylor, well known as the wife of Dr. Taylor, answered the last roll call on Friday morning as a result of a general breakdown.

Anna M. McCormick was born near Muncie, Indiana, on Feb. 5, 1843 and was reared to womanhood in that place.

With her husband, Dr. Taylor, who passed to the great beyond on March 4, 1893, she came by wagon to Blair just three months after the town was laid out.

Until his death, Dr. Taylor was considered the leading physician of the town and he and his good wife had the pleasure of watching the hamlet with its swaddling clothes grow into a real town and were always a factor in its make-up.

Mrs. Taylor was known as a good conscientious christian woman and those who knew her were very outspoken as to her virtues. Her daughters, Mrs. Mead and Mrs. Romberg, gave her every attention during her illness and everything that could possibly be done to make her comfortable was done.

The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon, Rev. W. J. Larkin, of Papillion, officiating and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
