Erma M. Taylor, 83, of Blair, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Rev. Kenneth Jensen is officiating. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Taylor was born Dec. 24, 1914, on a farm west of Blair to James W. and Agnes (Andersen) Nielsen. She attended Brewster Grade School and Blair High School; and Dana College for two years. On Oct. 9, 1940, she married Marlin Taylor at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Fremont. They lived in Ord, Neb., before moving to Blair in August of 1947l. They were in the bakery business for 38 years and had a snack bar along with the bakery in Blair. They retired in 1980.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church, the Monday Afternoon Club and Christian Women’s Club.

Survivors are her husband, Marlin of Blair; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and Merle Brower of Watertown, S. D., and Sharalynn and Lyle Joslin of Blair; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Maralee Taylor of Wahoo, Neb.; grandchildren, T. J. Taylor, Chrissa Lyn Taylor, Danielle Joi Taylor, Lindsay Marie Joslin and Hailey Lynn Joslin; one sister, Roma Randall of Omaha; and one brother, Lloyd J. Nielsen of Blair.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Darlene Gleeson.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
