F. L. TAYLOR DIED THURSDAY AT HOSPITAL

F. L. Taylor, well known Blair man, died at Memorial Community Hospital Thursday, July 30th, following a brief illness. For several years he has been a clerk in the Coast to Coast Stores in Blair and he was the father of Blair businessman, Marlin Taylor, who operates the Blair Bakery.

Floyd Albert Taylor was born at Fremont August 23, 1897. As a young man he became a section foreman for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy railroad, a work which he followed throughout his active life.

For thirty years he lived at Winnebago, Nebraska, which was the headquarters of the crew which he directed.

He moved to Blair about seven years ago, after retiring from work with the railroad. Since that time he has busied himself in a number of ways but for the past several years he has assisted at the Coast to Coast store.

He is survived by his wife, Martha and by a son, Marlin, of Blair and by three grandchildren. His mother, Mrs. Maude Rhoads, of Fremont also survives. A brother, E. H. Taylor, lives at Fremont and a brother Wilder Rhoads lives at Seattle, Washington. A sister, Mrs. Charlene Jacobs, resides at Waukegan, Ill.

Funeral services will be held this (Monday) afternoon at the Bendorf Funeral home with the Rev. Richard P. Davison conducting the service. Winnebago Lodge No. 309 will have a part in the graveside services. Burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery.
