JAY C. TAYLOR, 45

Jay C. Taylor, 45, of Axtell and formerly of Schuyler, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at the Phelps County Hospital in Holdrege.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 20, at Kracl Funeral Chapel in Schuyler. A graveside service was held at the Rosehill Cemetery in Orum.

Jay C. Taylor was born March 10, 1960, in Blair to Charles and Lorraine (Mundorf) Taylor. At the age of nine months, he contracted spinal meningitis. He lived with and was cared for by his parents until the age of 12, then lived at Region Vin Wayne for six years and for the last 22 years, was a resident at Mosaic at Bethphage Village in Axtell.

He loved going to church, eating chocolate and was especially fond of the trips and outings his caregivers provided.

Mr. Taylor is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Marlene “Marty” and Dave Mejstrik of Schuyler; Barbara and Bart Crosnoe of York; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles, in 1998; mother, Lorraine, in 2001, and his grandparents.
