Helen M. K. Mohr, 91, of Omaha died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at the Kremer Funeral Home, 6302 Maple Street, in Omaha. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Omaha.

Helen Marie Katharine Mohr was born June 9, 1916, on the family farm in Washington County to Ernest and Minnie Mohr. She attended Wranch School.

She kept busy helping her parents milk the cows by hand, raising bucket calves and other chores. She gave every calf she raised a name and she loved her cats. In 1955, she moved to Blair with her parents. She loved baking and continued to sew, making quilts for all her nieces and nephews and tended to her garden in town. She had quite a memory and could tell you everyone’s birthday and their ages. In 1984, she moved back to the farm with her brother, Bob, where she enjoyed helping with chores and working in the garden.

She is survived by a brother and sisters-in-law, William C. and Dorothy of Mission, Texas; and Gladys of Omaha; nine nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert E. Mohr.
