Mrs. Peter Nelson

Mrs. Peter Nelson died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chris Peterson, near Orum. Forty years ago Mrs. Nelson came with her family to this county and has resided here continually, being among the oldest settlers. Eleven years ago, at the time of the death of her husband, she removed to Blair. The funeral was held Monday at the Danish church at Orum and the body buried in the cemetery at that place.

Death of Mrs. Nelson

Mrs. Peter Nelsen, who has been making her home at Blair for several years past died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chris Peterson, near Orum, Saturday, Jan. 27, 1912, her demise being caused by heart trouble with which she had been suffering for some time.

Mrs. Nelsen was born in Sweden in 1850, and came to Nebraska thirty-nine years ago. Mr. Nelsen died in 1901, while living on a farm near here, and Mrs. Nelson soon afterward moved to Blair.

The children surviving are: Mrs. J.P. Larsen, Kennard; Mrs. J. P. Anderson, Spiker; Mrs. J.P. Larsen, Blair; Mrs. E.V. Newkirk, Orum; Mrs. Annie Newkirk, S.D.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Danish church at Orum and the body was laid to rest in the cemetery at that place.
