THOMAS F. MEAD DEAD IN DAKOTA

FORMER COUNTIAN, AGED 79, BROTHER OF MRS. C.B. BUNN, DEAD

Thomas F. Mead, 79, of Wessington Springs, South Dakota, a former countian and a brother of Mrs. C.B. Bunn of north of Blair, died last Friday, it was learned here.

Born at Iowa City, Iowa, September 11, 1855, he came with his parents to Washington county when two years old. He was married to Miss Hannah E. Ballard of Newton, Iowa, February 20, 1878. Nine children were born, three of them preceding him in death. In 1906 the Meads moved to their South Dakota home. He had been an active member of the Methodist church since December, 1889.

Surviving are his wife, Hannah; three daughters, Mrs. J.B. Stricklett, Florence; Mrs. Frances Dahlstrom and Mrs. Clarence Taylor, both of Omaha; three sons, J.G., G.W. Mead and C.B. Mead of Wessington Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Eli Sonder of Clandonald, Alberta, Canada, and Mrs. C.B. Bunn of Blair; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bunn and son, Byron, attended the funeral at Wessington Springs.
