Services Tues. For Mrs. Mary Nelson

Mrs. Mary Nelson, 90 years of age, of Blair, died Saturday at Memorial Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, the Rev. George Palleson officiating, with interment in Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Nelson was born April 24, 1873 in Oste Gesten Skov, Denmark. She was married to the late Christ Nelson. She was employed at the Blair Post Office for 29 years, prior to retiring.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Alfred C. Andersen (Marie) of Herman, one grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother, John Wolsmann, of Blair; two step grandchildren, Della Nelson and Mrs. Lyle Ray, both of Blair.

Pallbearers will be Al Sick, Robert McMillian, Leslie Offen, Raymond Hewitt, Ted Stewart and Everett Lamb.

The Bendorf Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Mary Nelson Buried Oct. 29th

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Nelson, who passed away October 26th, were held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. George Palleson conducted the service. The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge and burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Anna Marie Wolsmann was born April 24, 1873 to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wolsmann at Aste Gesten Skov, Jutland, Denmark. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on March 18, 1887. On April 23, 1887 she came to America with her brother John. She was united in marriage to Christ Nelson at Blair on October 29, 1891. They were the parents of two children, William who died at birth and Mrs. Alfred C. Andersen (Marie) of Herman. Mr. Nelson died in 1947.

Mrs. Nelson was employed at the Blair Post Office from 1911 to 1938. She was a member of the Royal Neighbor Lodge for over 60 years and also a member of the Danish Ladies Aid of the First Lutheran Church for many years.

Survivors besides her daughter, Mrs. Andersen, and a brother, John Wolsmann, of Blair, are a granddaughter, Mrs. Emery L. Christensen of Mountain View, Calif., two step-granddaughters, Mrs. Della Nelson and Mrs. Lyle Ray of Blair, and two great-granddaughters.

Pallbearers were Robert McMillan, Al Sick, Leslie Offen, Everett Lamb, Ray Hewitt and Ted Stewart.
