Funeral services for Brett Philip Nelson of 2071 Davis Street were held Saturday, Nov. 3, at First United Methodist Church in Blair, Rev. Dr. Gordon Pattersen and Rev, John Ewton officiated. Organist was Nancy Hanson and vocalist was Keith Hightree. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Brett was born June 23, 1981 in Omaha. He died Thursday, Nov. 1 at Childrens Memorial Hospital in Omaha

Survivors include his parents Marshall and Lynda (Johanson) Nelson of Blair, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Lester “Gus” Nelson of Blair and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johanson of Omaha, great grand-parents Mr. and Mrs. Philip Axelson of Oakland, Mrs. Charlotte Orr of Dakota City and Mrs. Gertrude Lord of Forsythe, Missouri, and brother Jason Jon Nelson of Blair.

Pallbearers were Bill Cemer, Tom Cady, Gordon Lippincott, Charles Gleason, Pat Lenihan and Tom VanScoy.
