Funeral services for Mrs. Clara M.* Nelson were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 18, at the First United Methodist Church in Blair. Dr. Gordon Patterson officiated, and Nancy Hanson played the organ. She died Friday, March 15, at the age of 93.

Clara was born September 3, 1891 in Marquette, Nebraska to Mr. and Mrs. (Marensteen) Fredrick William Larsen. She married Nels Larson Nelson October 12, 1910 and lived in Friend, Nebraska where Nels operated the lumber yard. They moved to Blair in the late 1960’s, and Clara moved to the Crowell Home in September of 1984. Nels preceded her in death.

Survivors include daughters Esther Olson of Blair, Helen Eberline of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Clara’s parents, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge and the First United Methodist Church.

Casketbearers were Robert A and James M. Olson, M. Stanley Jensen, David and Emil Fuhrman and Wilmer Petersen.
