Services for Blairite Joseph Taylor, 72, who died Saturday, December 21, 1985, will be held Thursday, December 26. Dr. Howard Bailey will officiate and burial will be in the Blair cemetery.
He graduated from Crete High School and Chillicothe Business College.
He was a former State Auditor for the Welfare Department, operated a sign and income tax business.
He married Ruth Spadt on December 2, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois. To this union a daughter Sally Jo and a son Lee were born.
Taylor was a member of the VFW and served in World War II in the South Pacific.
He is survived by his wife Ruth; daughter, Mrs. Mervin Henry Krejci, Logan, Iowa; Edward Bosak, Oregon City, Oregon; Lambert Bosak, Phoenix, Arizona; and one sister, Pauline Fields, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
