LONGTIME BLAIRITE IS DEAD; FUNERAL SERVICES HELD YESTERDAY

Forrest E. Newell, 86, long a Blair resident, died Sunday at the Leptien Nursing Home in Blair, where he and his sister, Miss Kate Newell, had been making their home.

The funeral was held at the Campbell Mortuary yesterday afternoon, with the Rev. W.O. Samuelson of Omaha officiating, and interment followed in Blair Cemetery.

Mr. Newell was born Sept. 7, 1870, in West Dover, Vt. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Job Newell, first came here in 1885. Forrest Newell was a farmer here for many years until his health failed.

Besides his sister, Miss Kate Newell, Mr. Newell is survived by a cousin, Mrs. Lutie McKay of the Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

Pallbearers at the funeral were Otto Christensen, Arnold Fuhlrodt, Frank Linden, Peter Linding, Water Petersen and Henry Rasmussen.
