Services for Dora Marie Mommsen, 87 who died July 26, 1993 at Good Shepherd Home in Blair are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 29 at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church in Fort Calhoun. Rev. Ken Jensen is officiating. Burial will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Dora Marie Mommsen was born July 24, 1906 in Dannevirke, Nebraska to Axel and Volberg Leth Miller. She grew up in Howard County, Nebraska.

She married Niels Peter Hansen at Dannevirke February 9, 1926. He preceded her in death November 5, 1959 at Fort Calhoun.

She married Andrew Mommsen July 31, 1976 at Fort Calhoun. He preceded her in death January 1, 1986 at Fort Calhoun.

She was a member of the Order of Easter Star and a Past Matron of Naomi Chapter No. 121, O.E.S. She was a member of Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by children and their spouses, Phyllis and Howard Barnes of Fort Calhoun, Dale and Virginia Mommsen of Little Rock, Arkansas and Kenneth and Sharlene Hansen of Denison, Iowa; three grandchildren, Marsha, Michelle and Marie Hansen; a stepson and his wife, Edward and Shirley Mommsen; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Evelyn and Philip Lang and Crystal and Ken Chapman; two step-daughters-in-law, Mrs. Eleanor Mommsen and Mrs. Irene Mommsen; 17 step-grandchildren; two brothers, Chris Miller and Chester Miller and three sisters, Hilda Walrod, Edna Anderson and Hazel Chambers.

Pallbearers will be Dale Diefenbaugh, Nis Mommsen, Davey Jensen, David Hansen, Bruce Wood and Robert Wood.

David Sheets will be soloist. Organist will be Carol Sprick.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
