Ralph L. Taylor, 88, of Gretna died Saturday, Oct. 5, 1997.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln. There will be a private inurnment at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor was a retired Western Union worker. He was a Second Lieutenant in the Army during World War II.
He was a member of American Legion Post No. 216; Telephone Pioneers; was a founding president of the Western Electric Credit Union, Lincoln; had served on the Gretna Election Board; and had been a grand jury foreman.
Survivors are his wife, Betty R.; daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia A. Taylor, Omaha; and Lynne and Steven Shanahan, Ft. Collins, Colo.; grandchildren, Kelly Shanahan, Marin Shanahan and Patrick Shanahan; a sister, Georgia Weathers, Lincoln and nieces and nephews.
