Robert E. Taylor Jr., 52, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at his home in rural Fremont.

Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at the Fremont Alliance Church. Interment will be at Fremont’s Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at Moser Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the church.

Robert E. “Rob” Taylor Jr. was born July 16, 1954, in Fremont to Robert and Pat Taylor. He lived all his life in the Fremont area and was a 1972 graduate of Fremont High School. He farmed in partnership with his father.

He was an avid NASCAR fan and raced stock cars in the Iowa and Nebraska region. He attended worship services at the Fremont Alliance Church.

On July 10, 2003, he married Debbie Cattlett in Blair. She survives him, as do two daughters, Megan Taylor of Omaha and Allison Taylor of Fremont; his parents; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Steph Cattlett of Fremont; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kent and Darylene Taylor of Lincoln , and Eric and Kim Taylor of Fremont; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy Taylor Ketchum and Greg Ketchum of San Francisco, Calif.; Terri and John Steyer, and Julie and Donn Schaffer, all of Omaha; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorials are suggested to Charlie Brown’s Kids and the Salvation Army Joy Shopping.
