STANLEY C. TAYLOR, 73

Stanley C. Taylor, 73, of Blair, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, at First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Stanley C. Taylor was born May 2, 1931, in Blair to Harold E. and Adeline (Carlson) Taylor. He attended the Rose Hill School and graduated from Blair High School in 1950.

On June 8, 1963, he married Dorothy Feige in Blair.

Mr. Taylor worked for Kelly-Ryan Manufacturing, Harvester Silo Company, was the Washington County Assessor from 1974 until 1980, and then was elected as County Supervisor.

He worked in the real estate business with Larsen Real Estate, Stan Taylor Real Estate and Washington County Real Estate. For 34 years, he owned and operated an upholstery business. He was a member of the Blair Optimist Club and was a member of the Herman Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Eric Volden of Grand Island; Denise and Ron Lenhart of Omaha; sons and daughter-in-law, Bennett and Suzi Taylor of Fontanelle; and Brian Taylor of Blair; seven grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, William and May Taylor of Oakland; and sister, Peggy Anderson of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jeanne Kuhl; and two brothers, Jim and Donald Taylor.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church or the Rose Hill Cemetery.
