Rites Are Held For Earl Nelson

Earl Nelson, 58, passed away following a lingering illness, on March 9, at Fergus Falls, Minn. He was a former Washington Countian.

The son of the Mr. and Mrs. Anton Nelson, he was born May 5, 1907, and lived in this area until about 15 years ago, when they moved to Minnesota. In the 40’s, the Nelsons lived on their farm south of Fontanelle.

He was married August 23, 1933 to Elsie Stuenkel, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Hooper. She survives, with one son Roger, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Wollmer & Warne Funeral Home in Hooper, with the Rev. Ernest Eckhardt, pastor in charge.

Music for the services was by Mrs. William Moseman III.

Interment was in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Fremont. Pallbearers were Fred Benjes, Harry Stuenkel, Clarence Scheer, Howard Kuss, Norman Keller, and Elmer Keller.
