Edwin W. Nelson Died In Omaha Thurs., July 30

Edwin W. Nelson, a son of the late Martin P. Nelson who farmed west of Blair, died Thursday, July 30th in an Omaha nursing home. He had been in failing health for some time.

Mr. Nelson was born in Kennard February 14, 1898 and was 72 years of age at the time of his death. He grew up in the Kennard area. The family farmed.

Edwin became an accountant and prior to his last illness he was a Certified Public Accountant for a firm in Cicero, Illinois where he has been making his home. His wife, the former Adeline Jacobsen, has preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son, Edwin J. Nelson who lives at Des Moines and by a daughter Caroline who is Mrs. Allen Scharr, of Des Plaines, Illinois. There are five grandchildren.

A sister, Emma Nelson, lives in Omaha.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary in Blair last Saturday morning. The Rev. Roy Brown conducted the service and burial was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ross Love, Henry Ibsen, Richard Sorensen, Ralph Novak, Lester Wulf and Rudy Frahm.
