Memorial Rites Are Held For Enid Nelson

Memorial services were held in the Herman Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 13, 1974 for Enid Nelson. Rev. Bryce Hecht of Arlington officiated.

Enid Howarth Nelson was born September 24, 1897 in Wakefield, Nebraska, and moved to West Point, Nebraska, shortly after, where she grew up. Enid married Dr. Walter I. Nelson on June 10, 1914 and they settled in Arlington, Nebraska. To this union were born a daughter and a son. The family moved to Herman, Nebraska, in 1932. Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Arlington Community Church and 51 year member of the Eastern Star, Chapter of West Point. She died at the Blair hospital on Friday, May 10, 1974 at the age of 76.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother. Survivors are her daughter, Marilyn, Mrs. Wm. French of Scottsbluff, and son Walter I. Nelson of Herman; seven granddaughters and one grandson.

Pallbearers were: Dr. Jack Cady, Dr. Jim Thone, Dr. David Bloch, Chris Korshoj, Melvern West and Lloyd Marshall. Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery in West Point, Nebraska.
