George Nelsen

George Nelsen, a son-in-law of Henry Steffen, died Friday and was buried at the German cemetery Monday. Mr, Nelsen had undergone an operation for appendicitis and was unable to rally. Her was 27 years old and leaves a wife and two small children.

Report of the death of George Nelson, which occurred at the family home on the Henry Steffens’ farm south of the German hall, near the Douglas county line, on last Friday, was received by Blair friends with a feeling of sorrow. The death was the result of a surgical operation for appendicitis recently performed. Deceased was a son-in-law of Henry Steffens, a widely known pioneer resident of that neighborhood, a highly respected young man and an estimable citizen. A wife and two young children and other relatives mourn his demise. The funeral services were held on Monday at the home and the body laid at rest at the cemetery at the hall.

Geo. Nelson, who was operated on for appendicitis, died on Friday and was buried on Monday in the German cemetery. Mr. Nelson was a son-in-law of Mr. Henry Steffen and was living on the old home place near the German hall. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss. Mr. Nelson was twenty-seven years old.

George Nelson Dead

Mr. George Nelson, son-in-law of H. Steffen, who has since his marriage lived on the home place of Mr. Steffen down on the south county line by the German hall, died at his home last Friday as the result of an operation for appendicitis.

The deceased was a young man of good habits and a citizen much respected. He leaves a wife and two children besides many other relatives to mourn him.

The funeral was held at the home on Monday and the body was interred in the German cemetery.
