Services for Dick Nelson Will Be Tuesday

Services for 62 year old George Richard Nelson will be on Tuesday, January 23, at 2 p.m. in the First Lutheran Church of Blair. Rev. John Petersen will officiate with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at the Blair Cemetery.

Dick Nelson died at the Blair Memorial Hospital following an extended illness of cancer. Mr. Nelson operated the Eat Shop Restaurant in Blair for a number of years. For the past years he has been in the bookkeeping department of Blair Manufacturing Company in Blair.

Mr. Nelson was born in Blair on August 7, 1916. He was married to the former June West and resided at 427 South 21st Street in Blair.

Surviving are his wife June, two stepsons and his father. The two stepsons are Richard Hunt and Hugh Hunt, both of Blair. The father is George Nelson of Blair. Also surviving are two sisters. They are Marian Nelson and Irma Christensen, both of Blair.

Pallbearers will be John Christopher, Bob Harrison, Gordon Vinton, J. Stuart Maurer, Kelly Ryan and John Sutton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Clark O’Hanlon, Ray Hansen, George Campbell and Louis Murdock.
