Anna Barton, 90, of Blair died Sunday, April 6, 1997 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Services will be 1 pm Friday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. A family graveside service will be held in the Avoca, Iowa, Cemetery.

Barton was born Dec. 29, 1906 to Ray and Mary (Kruse) Triplett. After she graduated from Herman High School, she attended Wayne State College and then graduated from Bishop Clarkson School of Nursing in 1928. In 1934 she married Roscoe H. Barton of Omaha. They lived in Chicago after their marriage until 1954, when they moved to Denver. The lived there until 1967. They then moved to Sun City, AZ. In 1994 she moved to Blair, where she lived until her death.

She was a member of the United Protestant Women of Sun City and the Sun City Golf League. From 1954 to 1967 she was a head nurse of the Tonsil Department of the Children’s Hospital in Denver.

Survivors are two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Lou and Vaughn Farrens, Tekamah, and Beverly and Donald Kelley of Littleton, Colo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas Charles and Janette Barton, Colorado Springs Colo; and Richard and Carole Barton, Loveland; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; three sisters, Alice Lamb, Marion Brodersen and Donna Rae Jordan, all of Blair, and one brother, Jack Triplett, Tekamah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be directed to the Good Shepherd Home Chapel Fund.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
